关于 Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, situated between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth in Texas, is one of the largest airports in the world by land area, covering approximately 17,000 acres. DFW opened in 1974, replacing the older Dallas Love Field and Greater Southwest International Airport as the region's primary commercial facility. The airport handles over 73 million passengers annually across five terminals labeled A through E, connected by the Skylink automated people mover, a 5-mile elevated rail system that circles the terminal area. DFW is the primary hub and headquarters airport for American Airlines, the world's largest airline by fleet size, and also serves as a focus city for Spirit Airlines and Frontier Airlines. The airport operates seven runways, one of the highest counts for any commercial airport globally. Ground transportation includes the Trinity Railway Express commuter rail service and the DART Orange Line light rail, both connecting to the DFW Airport station. The airport's location in the central time zone of the United States makes it a strategic connecting hub for transcontinental domestic flights as well as international routes to Mexico, Central America, Europe, and Asia.
