Terminal Overview
FRA has two terminals: Terminal 1 (Lufthansa and Star Alliance, Halls A-C) and Terminal 2 (other carriers, Halls D-E), connected by the SkyLine train.
Lounge Highlights
The Lufthansa First Class Terminal is a standalone building with private suites, a cigar lounge, and a chauffeur service to the aircraft.
Transit Tips
- Lufthansa and Star Alliance partners operate from Terminal 1; most other airlines use Terminal 2.
- The SkyLine people mover connects both terminals in about 5 minutes.
- Transfer passengers stay airside within the Schengen zone; non-Schengen transfers require passport control.
- Long walking distances within Terminal 1 are common; allow 45-60 minutes for connections.
- The transit area has a supermarket for affordable snacks and drinks.
Ground Transport
Two train stations serve the airport: Regionalbahnhof for local S-Bahn trains (15 min to city center) and Fernbahnhof for long-distance ICE trains.
Fun Facts
