200
psi
Aircraft tires are inflated to about 200 psi, roughly six times the pressure of a car tire, to withstand landing impacts at over 250 km/h.
설명
A Boeing 777 has 14 main landing gear tires, each supporting loads of over 20 tonnes during landing. The tires are filled with nitrogen instead of air to prevent moisture buildup and reduce the risk of explosion due to heat. Despite the extreme conditions, aircraft tires typically last 200-400 landings before retreading. They are retreaded up to seven times before being replaced entirely.
