关于 Narita International Airport
Narita International Airport is one of two major airports serving the Greater Tokyo area in Japan, primarily handling international flights and long-haul services. Located in Narita, Chiba Prefecture, approximately 60 kilometers east of central Tokyo, the airport opened in 1978 after years of controversy and protests from local farmers opposed to the land acquisition. Narita handles over 35 million passengers annually across three terminals. Terminal 1 is used by full-service carriers including Japan Airlines and members of the oneworld and Star Alliance groups, while Terminal 2 serves All Nippon Airways and partner carriers. Terminal 3, designed for low-cost carriers, opened in 2015 with a distinctive running-track-themed design to minimize construction costs. Narita is the primary international gateway for Japan Airlines and a major hub for All Nippon Airways and Peach Aviation. The airport is connected to Tokyo via the Narita Express train, which reaches Tokyo Station in approximately 60 minutes, and the Keisei Skyliner, which connects to Ueno and Nippori stations in 36 minutes. Despite competition from the closer Haneda Airport for international services, Narita remains Japan's largest airport for international passengers and handles the majority of intercontinental flights serving the Tokyo metropolitan area. The airport operates two runways and also ranks among the top cargo airports in Asia, serving as a critical logistics hub for the Japanese economy.
