侧风最极端的机场

120+

km/h gusts

Wellington Airport in New Zealand is notorious for extreme crosswinds gusting over 120 km/h due to the Cook Strait funnel effect.

说明

Wellington sits between hills at the southern tip of New Zealand's North Island, where winds funneling through Cook Strait create some of the most challenging landing conditions at any commercial airport. Pilots must be specially qualified for the approach, and go-arounds are common. Despite the conditions, the airport operates year-round and handles over 5 million passengers annually.
