While 2.5% may sound small, aviation's non-CO2 effects (contrails, NOx at altitude, and water vapor) roughly double its total climate impact. The industry has committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 through a combination of sustainable aviation fuel, more efficient aircraft, operational improvements, and carbon offsets.
