美国航空业放松管制

1978

year

The US Airline Deregulation Act of 1978 removed government control over fares, routes, and market entry, transforming the global airline industry.

说明

Before deregulation, the Civil Aeronautics Board controlled which airlines could fly which routes and what fares they could charge. Deregulation led to the rise of low-cost carriers, hub-and-spoke networks, and frequent flyer programs. Average airfares dropped significantly in real terms over the following decades. Many legacy airlines went bankrupt or merged, but passenger numbers soared.
