Chicago O'Hare International Airport recorded over 903,000 aircraft movements in 2023, the highest in the world.
Explication
An aircraft movement counts each takeoff or landing as one event, so a single flight generates two movements. O'Hare's eight runways and its role as a hub for both United and American Airlines drive the enormous traffic volume. The airport averages roughly 2,470 movements per day across its parallel and crosswind runway configurations.
