2-3
minutes per cycle
The air in an aircraft cabin is completely replaced every 2 to 3 minutes, with about 50% coming from outside and 50% recirculated through HEPA filters.
Explicação
Modern aircraft bleed hot compressed air from the engines, cool it, and mix it with recirculated cabin air filtered through HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters. These filters capture 99.97% of particles including bacteria and viruses. The result is air quality comparable to a hospital operating room. Airflow moves from ceiling to floor in a downward pattern, minimizing the spread of airborne contaminants between rows.
