The Antonov An-225 Mriya had a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tonnes and an 88-meter wingspan, making it the largest aircraft ever built.
Пояснение
Built in the Soviet Union in 1988 to transport the Buran space shuttle, only one An-225 was ever completed. Powered by six turbofan engines, it held numerous cargo records including transporting a 187-tonne generator. The sole aircraft was destroyed in February 2022 during the conflict in Ukraine at Hostomel Airport near Kyiv.
